Cupcakes (Pan di Spagna pastries covered by pink, yellow or lilac sugar icing) exhibited in the window of these nice pastry shop, evoke the flowers that once marked the near Campo de’ Fiori which derive its name from daisies that covered the place when it was still a meadow, with little houses and an open side faced the Tevere river. During Renaissance it was paved and became a business and tourism centre, diplomats and papal processions point of passing, theatre of memorable fights between Orsini and Anguillara and place of capital executions, as the statue of philosopher Giordano Bruno testifies

Discarded history noises, it is pleasant to be in the quiet Piazza del Paradiso and to look for the small pastry shop born by the former model Josephine Scorer idea to offer creativity and originality in sweets presentation, realizing cakes with good ingredients and handicraft methods. Josephine's Bakery force is the proposal of international handicraft confectionary tradition, in a greedy journey between different specialities. English chocolate fudge cake, French macarons, americans brownies, cheesecake, carrot cake, biscuits and cookies, muffins, meringues, cinnamon buns... Fanciful multi layer cakes are showed in a catalogue where to choose wedding cakes, birthday and children’s parties cakes, scones, jam and cucumber sandwiches for afternoon tea (10 euros per person) and snacks for picnic lunch.        
At 46 and 47 civic numbers it is still visible the colourless black sign which gave its name to the square: Antica Locanda Piazza del Paradiso.
